Rep. Latta to Participate in Facility Tour and Business Leader Roundtable
|Washington, D.C. – The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and Kalmbach Feeds will host Rep. Bob Latta (OH-5) for a facility tour and business leader roundtable focused on the historic tax reform law and its positive impact on Ohio’s 5th District.
Manufacturing contributes an estimated $2.25 trillion to the U.S. economy and supports 687,400 jobs in Ohio alone, according to the NAM. Since the enactment of tax reform, the manufacturing industry has added 192,000 jobs—more than double the number of jobs created over the same period last year.
Details are as follows and for planning purposes only:
The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is the largest manufacturing association in the United States, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states. Manufacturing employs more than 12 million men and women, contributes $2.25 trillion to the U.S. economy annually, has the largest economic impact of any major sector and accounts for more than three-quarters of private-sector research and development. The NAM is the powerful voice of the manufacturing community and the leading advocate for a policy agenda that helps manufacturers compete in the global economy and create jobs across the United States.
